Morality & Values

Society does not determine morality...motive does.
Society governs the way we preceive morality,
It builds a structure defining the boundries of moral behavior;
It builds it with stones of politics and bricks of religion,
It constructs its edifices of ideas and reins it's people in.
But societies differ greatly,
Religions embrace all extremes
From the most cloistered to the most open and free.
Politicians sway like circus acrobats
Between the left and right.
Sexual morality, like any other moral issue
Is ultimately determined by motive,
Not something imposed by the outside,
Outsides come in all kinds of values...
It has to be something inside thats unchanged by custom
And universal in its truth...
Morality is how we treat one another
Morality is both
Innocense and wisdom embedded in the human heart.
